Pledge cards are an excellent way to quickly and efficiently get supporters of your nonprofit set up to become repeat donors to your organization. They are perfect for large events, as you can set-up a station for people to fill them out. Or, if it’s a fundraising banquet, place one for each seat.

We’ve created a simple but fun downloadable pledge card template that you can download here! You can edit the amount boxes and the nonprofit name at the top, as well as the descriptions for other opportunities at the bottom. For example, allow donors to also sign-up for any newsletters you put out. Or, if you have a text-to-give solution, have them check a box if they are interested in signing up for it.

Tips For Creating Your Own Pledge Card

If you’re interested in creating your own pledge card on Canva, Photoshop, or any other platform, follow these quick tips.

Make sure to include contact information – Donor pledge cards are a great way to build up your donor database, and having them include their contact info will allow you to keep in touch with them.

Give an option for “other” for the donation amount – A custom amount should be included in the event that they are willing to donate more than your top amount, or would like to donate less than the smallest option.

Keep your recurring donations to weekly, monthly, and yearly – These are the three most common options for recurring donations. Allowing donors to choose between these three options makes it easy for them, and it also makes the process of estimating your nonprofit’s donations easier.
