Of course you’re going to split the bill and pay separately. This is often chaotic for you and not to mention the waiter. If the restaurant is filled with guests, it can take a long time to pay.
This is now history. MobileAxept and SMS Development have together found a smart solution to this. SMS Development delivers cash machines to restaurants, whilst mobileAxept has developed the payment solution with mobile telephone.

You use, quite simply, the mobile telephone as a virtual payment terminal.

How does this work?

  • The waiter comes with the bill including reference- and telephone number.
  • The customer calls the given telephone number, and texts in the reference number. The total amount to be given does not come up. One texts in only the amount one wishes to pay plus tips (if there are more people sharing a bill.)
  • The payment system at the restaurant receives a notice that for example 300 kroner is paid of the total amount. The customer receives an SMS – receipt for the amount he/she has paid.
  • All the other guests can do the same. If there is someone who wishes to pay by card or with cash, they may do so as well. Through the payment system the restaurant has control of how much, at any given time, has been paid of the specific bill in relation to the total sum.
  • This system ensures that the waiter can use their precious time tending to the guests that have not yet ordered food and drink, and that you as a guest can pay more quickly and smoothly. You avoid having to wait for the waiter to come over to your table to receive payment.
